Luke had his 6-month birthday on Wednesday! We celebrated by sitting in the doctor’s office for 2 hours, and getting some shots. How special. He weighs 15 lbs 5 oz, and is 26 ins long.
Luke is doing great! He continues to be a glad-hearted, content little man, who brings much joy to Bret and I, as well as other people around us. He loves to “talk” to us, to be tickled, and to wrestle with dad. He particularly loves to play peek-a-boo, and sometimes he starts the game. So fun! He’s also starting razzing, and enjoys going back and forth with someone. He’s very social, and doesn’t like being by himself for very long, if he’s awake. He still takes 3 naps a day, and when he’s tired, he just wants to be in his crib all cozy and swaddled up. He has the same reactions to cold as I do, so we’re getting alot of use out of the blankets that were given to us.
He has started log rolling across the floor to explore new things. Our little guy can sit up for a little while. Although he’s still pretty wobbly, he seems to like that better than laying down. He eats 5 times a day, and three of those times he gets rice cereal in addition to milk. He seems to like eating more solid food, but I don’t think he’s figured out that its very difficult to eat with fingers in his mouth. He has 4 teeth right now, and 2 more are breaking through, so he’s chomping on everything he gets his hands on (which is not so great if it happens to be your finger).
The Lord continues to richly bless us in the son that he has given us. Daily, I give thanks for this little treasure that God has entrusted to us.
