The Offi-sery – Before

Standard

We FINALLY went and registered for baby stuff! YEAH! After about 2 1/2 hours at Babies R Us, we ended up with a list of baby “necessities” we’d scanned in the store, AND a crib and changing table! I’m excited! This is what the crib will look like once we get it put together:

And the changing table:

Aren’t they pretty? (They are the same color in real life.) We’re converting part of the office into the nursery, but some of Bret’s school stuff has to stay in there, because there’s no where else to put it. Hence, its called an offi-sery. 🙂 Right now though, it looks like this:

So we have our work cut out for us, but how exciting is it to get to fix up a special place for our new little baby! I am so thankful that the Lord has provided for us, so that we can use these things to care for him.

About Rachel

Most importantly, I am saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is more than enough to satisfy my heart. In His abundant goodness, I am also delighted to be a wife and mama. I work at home and enjoy spending most of my time caring for my husband, 2 sons and new daughter. I also try to squeeze in some creativity, coffee, chocolate, and good books.

  1. I remember when we picked out our first baby bed and changing table. What great memories! Now you two are building memories and that is so exciting….

I am praying for you and your little one…

  2. 28 years ago when we were acquiring these “necessities” I knew about cribs, diapers, Desitin, and rectal thermometers and not much more. The first time I heard the expression “changing table” I had NO CLUE. So, if my friend Bret understood what that was before your trip to Babies R Us, then he is WAY ahead of where I was a few weeks out from delivery. Another term I had never heard was “blanket sleeper.” Are those still in vogue? Or is that term SO 80’s?
