Embroidered Napkins

Standard

This is one of my favorite projects that I’ve ever done. These 4 napkins are pretty (I think), and functional (you can see they’ve already been used), and I definitely saved us money by making them myself. We regularly use cloth napkins because it saves us money on paper goods. This entire project cost us $2:50! And it wasn’t time consuming at all! I simply cut 4 18-inch squares of cloth, hemmed them, and then traced and embroidered the flowers on there. I really like embroidery. I hadn’t tried it before, but its pretty simple, and you don’t need alot of expensive equipment to get started. I used the book, Colorful Stitchery as a guide for stitches and to help me come up with the idea for the flower. I highly recommend this book! I got it from the library, and I’m really tempted to buy it for myself, mainly because the instructions for the different stitches are really clear.

About Rachel

Most importantly, I am saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is more than enough to satisfy my heart. In His abundant goodness, I am also delighted to be a wife and mama. I work at home and enjoy spending most of my time caring for my husband, 2 sons and new daughter. I also try to squeeze in some creativity, coffee, chocolate, and good books.

  1. Great Idea, I have thought about doing this for wedding gifts. We use cloth napkins too- I think it makes your guests feel special. Good for the environment and good for the budget.
