I’m almost finished with the blue scarf; I would be completely finished by now, in fact. But, last night, as I’m happily crocheting away, I come to the end of the skein of yarn! YIPES! This scarf was supposed to use up yarn that was in my stash, and now I’m going to have to buy a whole new skein! Sad days. As a result, the completion of this project is on hold until I have time to go out to Hobby Lobby and get more yarn. So, I started a new scarf to give to my mom when she comes back for Christmas. After a few false starts, and lots of experimentation with yarns and stitches, I think this one will be done in pink yarn with a shell trellis stitch.
On the happier side of crafting, I did get the tiered skirt finished! Here’s a picture:

I think I like the finished product, but it will be a while before I’m ready to do all that gathering again.

Rachel, every time I make a gathered skirt, I end up saying.. thats the LAST tiered skirt I EVER make!! Phoo! And then three days later, I see some fabric, and I think… well, gee, golly, the gathering wasn’t THAT bad.
